[서울=뉴시스] 구무서 기자 = 보건복지부는 오는 7월1일부터 상병수당 3단계 시범사업을 4개 지역에서 추가로 시행한다고 30일 밝혔다.

4개 지역은 강원 원주시,죽은 자를 놀리다전북 전주시,죽은 자를 놀리다충북 충주시,죽은 자를 놀리다충남 홍성군 등이다.이로써 기존 10개 지역에 더해 총 14개 지역에서 상병수당이 시행된다.

상병수당은 근로자가 업무와 관련 없는 부상·질병으로 경제활동이 어려운 경우 치료에 집중할 수 있도록 소득을 보전하는 제도다.

지난 2022년 7월4일부터 10개 지역에서 2년간 1만3105건이 지급됐으며 평균 18.7일간 86만2574원이 지급됐다.

1단계 시범사업은 소득 기준이 없었으나 2단계와 3단계는 소득하위 50%를 대상으로 한다.지급금액은 2025년 최저임금의 60% 수준(일 4만7560원)이다.

3단계 시범사업에서는 사업 신청이 가능한 건강보험 직장가입자 또는 고용·산재보험을 유지 기간을 기존 1개월에서 2개월 이상으로 확대했다.

일용직 근로자의 경우 직전 1개월 중 10일 이상 또는 직전 2개월 중 20일 이상 근로 및 고용·산재보험 가입 자격을 유지한 이력이 있으면 된다.

소득 및 재산 기준 중 재산 기준은 폐지하고 최대 보장 일수는 30일 더 연장해 150일까지로 늘렸다.

이중규 복지부 건강보험정책국장은 "지난 2년간 업무 이외의 부상이나 질병으로 근로를 할 수 없게 된 분들이 아프면 쉴 권리를 보장받으셨다"며 "3단계 시범사업 지역 추가를 통해 총 14개 지역에서 더 많은 주민들이 혜택을 보실 수 있도록 차질없이 운영해 나가겠다"고 말했다.
