청주지법 형사6단독(조현선 부장판사)은 10일 성매매알선등 행위의처벌에관한법률위반(성매매알선 등) 혐의로 구속기소된 30대 A씨에게 징역 4년,폴로까사 생드니30대 B씨에게 징역 3년을 선고했다.

이들은 2021년 10월부터 약 2년간 중증 지적장애인 여성 2명을 꾀어낸 뒤 채팅 애플리케이션을 통해 600여 회에 걸쳐 성매매를 알선하며 대금 약 8000만원을 받아 챙긴 혐의로 재판에 넘겨졌다.

A씨는 범행 전반을 주도하며 성매매 과정에서 발생하는 분쟁을 해결해 주는 역할을 했고,B씨는 피해 여성들을 약속 장소로 데려다주는 역할을 했다.

이들은 피해 여성들이 거부 의사를 밝히면 "성매매 사실을 신고해 교도소에 보내겠다"는 등의 협박 메시지를 보내 성매매를 계속하도록 했다.

재판부는 "피고인들은 정신 장애로 판단력이 부족한 피해자들을 상대로 성매매를 알선하는 범행을 저질러 죄질이 매우 불량하다.피해자들이 합의를 극구 거부하고 엄벌을 탄원하고 있고,폴로까사 생드니범행 기간이 상당히 길고 취득한 수익 규모도 상당하다"며 양형 이유를 밝혔다.
