"전문가 집단이 사익 추구"…특사경 영장 신청·남부지법 발부

(서울=뉴스1) 박승희 기자 = 무상증자 업무를 대행하는 과정에서 취득한 미공개 정보를 활용해 60억 원의 부당이득을 취한 KB국민은행 직원이 구속됐다.

11일 금융감독원에 따르면 금감원 자본시장특별사법경찰(특사경)은 이날 국민은행 증권대행사업부 직원 A씨에 대한 구속영장을 신청했고,러쉬벳 토토서울남부지법은 구속영장을 발부했다.

핵심 피의자인 A씨는 국민은행 증권대행사업부에 근무하던 2021~2023년 상장회사들의 무상증자 실시 관련 미공개정보를 이용해 60여개 종목을 거래해 약 60억 원의 부당이득을 취득했다.

A씨를 비롯한 국민은행 직원들은 무상증자 업무를 대행하는 과정에서 무상증자 규모와 일정에 대한 정보를 사전에 얻고 이와 관련한 수십억 원의 매매 차익을 거둔 것으로 조사됐다.

금감원 관계자는 "금융기관의 전문가 집단이 미공개 정보로 개인의 사적 이익을 부당하게 추구한 건"이라고 지적했다.

특사경은 해당 사건과 관련해 지난해 8월 여의도 국민은행 본사를 압수수색한 바 있다.
