“안정적인 매출 로열티 발생 기대"

[사진=알테오젠]알테오젠은 중국 파트너사 '치루제약'에 기술수출한 허셉틴 바이오시밀러 'ALT-L2'가 중국에서 품목허가를 취득했다고 12일 밝혔다.

이번에 허가를 받은 ALT-L2는 알테오젠의 초창기 파이프라인이다.앞서 알테오젠은 바이오시밀러 확보를 위해 로슈의 전이성 유방암 치료제 '허셉틴(성분명 트라스투주맙)' 바이오시밀러 개발에 돌입했다.

이후 알테오젠은 2016년 캐나다에서 자체적으로 진행한 임상 1상 시험에서 성공적인 데이터를 확인했으나,해리 맥과이어글로벌 시장의 경쟁 심화로 개발을 중단한 바 있다.다만 중국 시장은 오리지널 의약품을 제외한 바이오시밀러는 한 개 품목만이 승인을 받은 상황이라 상품성이 있다고 판단하고 중국 치루제약에 기술수출했다.

치루제약은 중국 10대 제약사 중 하나로 2022년 임상 3상 성공 후 지난해 4월 품목허가를 신청한 뒤 이번에 최종 허가를 취득하게 됐다.알테오젠 측은 이후 ALT-L2의 판매에 따른 로열티가 안정적으로 발생할 것으로 보고 있다.

알테오젠 관계자는 "ALT-L2의 허가 획득은 당사 연구개발이 결실을 맺은 것"이라며 "파트너사의 성공에 축하를 보낸다"고 말했다.
