[청주=뉴시스] 이도근 기자 = 충북도의회 다수당인 국민의힘 소속 도의원들이 제12대 도의회 후반기 의장 후보로 재선의 이양섭(진천2) 의원을 선출했다.

국민의힘 도의원 27명은 19일 충북도당 회의실에서 후반기 의장 후보 선출을 위한 투표를 통해 이 의원을 도의장 후보로 뽑았다.

이날 투표에서 이 의원이 14표를 받으며 13표를 받은 임병운(청주7) 의원을 한 표 차이로 승리했다.

이 의원은 "후반기 의회는 일하는 의회가 돼야 한다"며 "초선과 재선 구분없이 능력있는 분들을 중심으로 의회를 운영해 나가겠다"고 밝혔다.

또 "집행부와 건강한 긴장 관계를 유지해 도민의 행복과 삶의 질 향상에 앞장서는 의회를 구현해 나가겠다"고 덧붙였다.

이 의원은 앞선 2018년 선거에서 고배를 마신 뒤 4년 만에 재입성한 징검다리 재선이다.

부의장 후보 선출 투표에서는 이 의원과 러닝메이트로 나선 유재목(옥천1) 의원이 14표를 획득해 13표를 얻은 김국기(영동) 의원을 제치고 부의장 후보가 됐다.

도의회 의장은 관례상 다수당의 몫으로,마카오 카지노 나이전반기와 마찬가지로 국민의힘 소속이 맡는다.도의회는 전체 35석 중 국민의힘이 27석,마카오 카지노 나이더불어민주당이 8석을 차지하고 있다.

이날 후보 선정에 따라 도의회는 오는 25일 제417회 정례회 3차 본회의에서 교황선출 방식의 투표로 의장을 확정한다.

이어 다음달 열리는 제418회 임시회에서 상임위원장을 정하는 등 원구성을 마칠 예정이다.
