경남경찰청은 도로교통법 위반 혐의로 지방청 소속 여경 A(20대) 경장을 불구속 입건하고,홍대 금복식당직위를 해제했다고 8일 밝혔다.

A씨는 지난 6일 오전 1시25분께 김해시 대청동의 도로에서 만취 상태로 운전을 하고 음주단속을 피해 차량을 버리고 도주한 혐의를 받고 있다.

인근에서 동료 경찰관들과 함께 술을 마신 A경장은 음주단속 중인 경찰관을 보고 차를 급히 이동했으며,홍대 금복식당약 600m 가량을 달아나다 차를 버리고 인근 공원 쪽으로 도주한 것으로 전해졌다.

경찰에 붙잡인 A경장의 혈중알코올농도는 면허취소 수준이었다.

경남경찰청 감찰계는 A경장이 이달 초 승진한 것을 축하하고자 동료 경찰관들과 함께 술을 마신 것으로 보고 정확한 경위를 조사할 예정이다.

한편,경남경찰청에서는 올해 들어 A경장을 포함해 5명이 음주운전으로 적발돼 징계를 받는 등 공직기강이 해이해졌다는 비난의 목소리가 나오고 있다.
