안창호 국가인권위원장 후보자는 역사관 논란뿐만 아니라 인권위가 추진해온 차별금지법 제정을 반대해왔다는 점도 문제란 지적을 받고 있습니다.차별금지법 때문에 에이즈가 퍼지고 성범죄가 급증할 거라고 주장해온 겁니다.

안창호 국가인권위원장 후보자가 4년 전 한 강연입니다.

차별금지법이 특혜라고 주장했습니다.

[안창호/국가인권위원장 후보자 : 소위 말하는 성소수자나 이런 사람들한테 특권을 주는,특혜를 주는 법입니다.]

동성애를 부정적으로 말하는 교회들이 고립될 수 있다고도 했습니다.

[안창호/국가인권위원장 후보자 : 동성애의 죄성을 지적하는 교회는 고립되고,반기독교적인 사회 분위기가 형성될 것입니다.]

안 후보자가 속한 기독교법조인단체 '복음법률가회'는 동성애를 '죄악된 본성'으로,차별금지법을 '악법'으로 규정했습니다.

지난 6월 펴낸 책에는 "차별금지법이 도입되면 에이즈,징 야구화항문암,징 야구화A형 간염 같은 질병의 확산을 가져올 수 있다"고 썼습니다.

"신체노출 때문에 충동적으로 일어나는 성범죄가 크게 늘어날 수 있다"고도 했습니다.

인권위 내부에서도 우려의 목소리가 커지고 있습니다.

[김종길/전국공무원노조 인권위 지부장 : 인권위 기존 입장과 반대되는 주장과 활동을 하셨던 분이 인권위 수장으로 오시겠다고 하는 것에 대해 상당히 의구심을 가질 수밖에 없고,매우 부적절하다고 생각합니다.]

인권위는 2006년과 2020년 차별금지법 제정을 촉구하는 성명을 낸 바 있습니다.

안 후보자는 "소수자 보호를 이유로 국민의 기본권과 인권이 파괴되도록 방치해선 안 된다"는 입장을 내놨습니다.
