[서울=뉴시스]이다솜 기자 = 에코프로는 오는 19일부터 21일(현지시간)까지 독일 뮌헨에서 열리는‘인터배터리 유럽 2024’에 첫 참가한다고 17일 밝혔다.

올해 처음으로 인터배터리 유럽에 참가하는 에코프로는 오는 2025년 헝가리 사업장 가동을 앞두고 다양한 잠재 고객에게 유럽 진출 계획을 홍보할 방침이다.

에코프로의 전용부스는 LG에너지솔루션,삼성SDI 등과 함께 전시관 C3홀에 있다.전시관에는 에코프로 헝가리 공장에 대한 상세한 내용이 소개된다.

에코프로 헝가리 공장은 총 면적 44만㎡ 규모로 데브레첸 남부 산업 단지에 위치해 있다.에코프로가 강점을 지니고 있는 삼원계 양극재 NCA,NCM,맞고 패돌리기NCMX를 순차적으로 생산할 예정이다.

친환경 공정을 통해 기존 배터리 양극재 생태계에서 배출되는 폐수 등 오염물질 발생을 최소화하는 클로즈드 루프 에코 시스템 버전2(V2)도 소개된다.

클로즈드 루프 에코 시스템은 에코프로가 포항캠퍼스 12만평 부지에 2조원을 투입해 폐배터리 재활용부터 원료,전구체,맞고 패돌리기양극재에 이르는 이차전지 양극소재 생산 과정을 하나의 단지에서 구현한 시스템이다.

클로즈드 루프 시스템 V2는 ▲폐배터리 재활용 범위 확대 ▲산업폐수 정화 및 재사용이 핵심으로 제조 비용을 30% 이상 절감할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

아울러 에코프로가 글로벌 친환경 기업으로서 한 걸음 더 진화하는 분기점이 될 것으로 분석된다.

또 전시관에서는 하이니켈부터 미드니켈 그리고 LFP까지 아우르는 에코프로의 제품 포트폴리오도 소개된다.

에코프로 관계자는 "세계 전기차 시장을 선도하고 있는 유럽에서 에코프로의 우수한 제품과 기술력을 선보이고,유럽 현지 배터리 관련 기업 및 바이어와 직접 소통하여 고객 다변화의 발판을 마련할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다"고 밝혔다.
