[서울=뉴시스] 이준호 기자 = 현대홈쇼핑이 업계 최초로 인공지능(AI) 기술을 활용한 '숏폼 자동 제작 시스템'을 선보인다고 5일 밝혔다.

AI를 통한 다량의 숏폼 콘텐츠를 선보여 온라인몰 등 모바일 플랫폼으로 신규 고객이 유입되는 효과를 노린다는 전략이다.

쇼호스트의 멘트를 텍스트로 전환하는 STT(Speech To Text·스피치 투 텍스트)와 이미지 인식 기술을 활용해 다양한 상품 판매방송 영상을 1분 하이라이트로 자동 편집한 뒤 자체 유튜브 채널 '훅티비'에서 숏폼 콘텐츠로 제공하는 방식이다.

'숏폼 자동 제작 시스템'의 특징은 평균 60분 이상의 방송 영상을 숏폼으로 제작하는 데 걸리는 시간을 5분 이내로 줄이고,온라인 슬롯 전략상품 사용법과 착용 모습 등 시청률이 몰리는 구간을 스스로 분석해 숏폼을 자동 제작한다는 것이다.

실제 사내 파일럿 테스트 결과 해당 시스템을 활용해 제작한 숏폼은 고객 선호도에 기반한 주요 장면을 빠짐없이 담아냈으며,온라인 슬롯 전략시청 지속 시간 역시 기존 숏폼 대비 약 2배 늘었다.

현대홈쇼핑은 이렇게 제작된 숏폼 콘텐츠를 통해 상품에 대한 고객 궁금증을 빠르게 해소하고 구매 전환율을 증대시킬 계획이다.

현대홈쇼핑은 이 시스템을 통해 패션·뷰티·식품 등 고객의 주목도가 높은 상품군을 중심으로 하루 최대 10개의 숏폼 콘텐츠를 제공할 예정이다.

또 해당 영상들에 유튜브와 현대홈쇼핑 공식 온라인몰 현대H몰을 연동하는 '유튜브 쇼핑' 기능을 도입해 단순 보는 재미에 그치지 않고,온라인 슬롯 전략시청자가 쉽게 상품을 구매할 수 있는 편리한 쇼핑 환경도 함께 제공한다.
