(모스크바=연합뉴스) 최인영 특파원 = 러시아에서 간첩 혐의를 받는 한국인 선교사 백모 씨의 구금 기간이 3개월 연장된 것으로 18일(현지시간) 확인됐다.

러시아 현지 소식통에 따르면 지난 15일 만료 예정이던 백 씨의 구금 기간은 9월 15일까지로 3개월 연장됐다.

지난 1월 러시아 극동 블라디보스토크에서 러시아 연방보안국(FSB)에 체포된 백씨의 구금이 연장된 것은 이번이 두 번째다.앞서 모스크바 레포르토보 법원은 지난 3월 비공개 심리에서 백씨의 구금 기간을 6월 15일까지로 연장한 바 있다.

한국인이 러시아에서 간첩 혐의로 체포된 것은 백씨가 처음이다.그는 현재 모스크바 레포르토보 구치소에 구금돼 있다.

러시아는 백씨의 간첩 혐의에 대한 구체적인 내용은 공개하지 않고 있다.백씨가 소속된 단체 등은 혐의를 부인하고 있다.

주러시아 한국대사관은 백씨와 영사 면담을 하고 필요 물품을 제공하는 등 지원해왔으나 관련 언급은 삼가고 있다.

미국 월스트리트저널(WSJ) 에반 게르시코비치 기자는 지난해 3월 30일 취재를 위해 러시아 중부 예카테린부르크를 방문했다가 간첩 혐의로 FSB에 체포돼 구금됐는데 1년 2개월이 지난 13일에야 기소돼 오는 26일 첫 재판을 앞두고 있다.
