AMD,사이트 시간엔비디아 AI소프트웨어 강화를 위해 잇따른 인수합병

사일로AI는 2017년 설립된 인공지능(AI) 기업으로 생성 AI를 기반으로 하는 대규모언어모델(LLM)를 개발하고 있다.300명 이상의 AI전문가가 소속돼 있으며 이 중 125명이 박사학위를 가진 고학력자다.지난달에는 프랑스 AI기업인 미스트랄AI와 기업을 대상으로 하는 서비스를 런칭했다.AMD는 올해 안에 매수를 완료해 AMD의 AI부문으로서 개발을 지속한다는 방침이다.

AMD는 잇따른 인수·합병을 통해 AI 소프트웨어 분야를 강화하고 있다.2023년 10월에는 노드AI를 인수했다.지난 1년동안 AI기업에 1억 2500만달러 이상을 투자했다.

엔비디아 역시 AI기업 인수합병을 통해 경쟁력을 강화하고 있다.지난 3월에는 AI 데이터 분석을 하는 이스라엘 스타트업 런AI를 7억달러에 인수했다.
