내일(17일)부터는 어린이집이나 유치원,학교 주변 30m 안에서 흡연을 할 경우 10만 원 이하의 과태료를 물게 됩니다.

종전까지는 주변의 10m 이내가 금연 구역이었는데요.

국민건강증진법 개정에 따라 30m로 확대된 겁니다.

초중등교육법에 따라 학교 주변 30m도 금연 구역으로 새로 지정됐습니다.

교육 시설 인근 금연 구역 확대와 신설은 1년 동안 유예를 거쳐 이번에 본격 시행되는 걸로,간접흡연으로부터 아동과 청소년을 보호하자는 취지입니다.

이런 조치에 따라 각 시,3216군,3216구청은 어린이집과 유치원,초, 중, 고교 시설의 경계 30m 이내가 금연 구역임을 알리는 표지를 건물 담장,벽면,보도 등에 설치해야 합니다.
