"직업적 '사이버 렉카' 밝혀내…신종 범죄 엄정 대응"

(서울=연합뉴스) 황윤기 기자 = 걸그룹 아이브의 장원영을 악의적으로 비방한 유튜버 '탈덕수용소'를 재판에 넘긴 수사팀이 대검찰청 우수사례로 선정됐다.

대검은 인천지검 형사1부 이아람(변호사시험 6회)·곽예신(변시 7회) 검사를 형사부 우수 사례로 선정했다고 26일 밝혔다.

두 검사는 장원영을 비롯한 피해자 3명에 대한 사건을 각각 송치받고 탈덕수용소 운영자 A씨가 이른바 '사이버 렉카' 활동을 직업적으로 계속해온 정황을 발견,바카라 연구소주거지 압수수색과 계좌 추적 등 보완 수사에 나섰다.

이후 A씨를 정보통신망법 위반(명예훼손) 등 혐의로 기소하고 A씨가 유튜브 채널 수익금으로 구입한 부동산을 추징보전해 마음대로 처분할 수 없도록 했다.

대검은 "직업적으로 가짜 이슈 생성,바카라 연구소음성변조,바카라 연구소짜깁기 편집 등의 수법으로 다수 피해자에 대한 악의적 비방이 담긴 자극적인 가짜영상을 제작해 게시함으로써 높은 조회수와 회원가입 등을 유도하고 단기간에 약 2억 5천만원의 수익을 취득한 '사이버 렉카' 범죄임을 명확히 밝혔다"며 "신종 범죄에 엄정 대응한 사례"라고 설명했다.

A씨가 운영한 탈덕수용소는 아이돌의 악성 루머를 소재로 영상을 제작한 유튜브 채널이다.가요계에서 엄벌을 촉구한 끝에 재판에 넘겨졌으며 현재 채널은 삭제된 상태다.

이밖에 2억9천만원 상당의 무등록대부업 사건을 송치받아 7억원의 추가 범행을 규명한 서울서부지검 형사4부 이가은(변시 6회) 검사,바카라 연구소경찰이 혐의없음 결정한 횡령 사건을 송치받아 진상을 밝혀낸 평택지청 형사2부 손은선(변시 9회) 검사도 좋은 평가를 받았다.

피해자가 1명뿐인 전세 사기 사건을 송치받아 보완 수사 끝에 59명의 피해자를 더 찾아낸 제천지청 김지윤(변시 9회) 검사,바카라 연구소기록 2만쪽을 분석해 시행사·시공사 대표 등의 허위 민사소송 범행을 밝혀낸 울산지검 박보영(변시 6회) 검사도 우수사례로 뽑혔다.
