[디지털데일리 권하영기자] 정보통신산업진흥원(원장 허성욱,청소년 국가대표 야구이하 NIPA)은 건양대학교와 지난 13일 건양대학교 메디컬캠퍼스 죽헌정보관에서 공개 소프트웨어(SW) 활용 및 전문 교육 활성화를 위한 업무 협약을 체결했다고 14일 밝혔다.

과학기술정보통신부 산하 NIPA는 SW를 포함한 정보통신산업 진흥을 위해 공개SW 적용‧확산을 비롯한 다양한 사업을 지원하고 있다.

이번 업무협약을 통해 양측은 ▲ 공개SW 활용·확산 등 활성화 협력 ▲ 공개SW 전문교육을 통한 공개 SW 개발자 양성 ▲ 공개SW 관련 정보기술 협력 등을 추진한다.

NIPA 이경록 SW미래본부장은 “건양대와의 협약을 통해 우수한 인재를 조기에 발굴하고‘오픈소스 컨트리뷰션 아카데미’등 맞춤형 교육프로그램을 통해 미래 핵심 공개SW 인재를 양성하는데 적극적으로 협력할 수 있게 되어 매우 기쁘다”고 말했다.

NIPA는 오픈소스 생태계 활성화와 참여 촉진을 위해‘오픈소스 컨트리뷰션 아카데미’를 운영 중이며,청소년 국가대표 야구이 아카데미는 국내 오픈소스 개발자 멘토링을 통한 예비 오픈소스 개발자 양성을 위해 수준별·단계별 프로젝트 체험·참여 과정으로 구성돼 있다.
