이어 "강화된 내부통제 시스템으로 저희 자체적으로 막을 수 있었음에도 원천적으로 막지 못한 부분은 아직까지도 부족한 부분이 있었던 것으로 생각한다"며 "이번 사건에 대해서 철저하게 파악해 부족한 부분에 대한 개선을 통해 재발 방지를 하겠다"고 강조했습니다.

또 조 행장은 "내부통제 시스템뿐만 아니라 모든 임직원에 대한 실효성 있는 교육을 통해 앞으로는 이런 일이 절대 발생하지 않도록 더욱 내부통제를 강화하는 계기로 삼겠다"고 덧붙였습니다.

최근 우리은행에서는 경남 김해 지점의 직원이 올해 초부터 최근까지 고객 대출 신청서와 입금 관련 서류를 조작해 100억원 규모의 대출금을 빼돌려 선물 등에 투자한 것이 적발됐습니다.

이에 금감원은 횡령 사고와 관련한 경위와 책임 소재를 파악하기 위해 현장 검사에 착수했습니다.
