의장 신수정,fc 낭트부의장에 서용규·채은지 의원 선출

(광주=연합뉴스) 장아름 기자 = 광주시의회 개원 이래 첫 여성 의장이 선출됐다.

광주시의회는 8일 임시회 본회의를 열고 의장 선거에 단독 입후보한 신수정(더불어민주당·북구3) 의원을 제9대 의회 후반기 의장으로 선출했다.

신 의원은 전체 23표 중 찬성 16표(무효 4표·기권 3표)를 획득했다.

1991년 7월 지방의회 출범 이후 광주시의회에서는 첫 여성 의장이다.

광주시의회는 전체 시의원 23명 중 민주당 21명·국민의힘 1명·무소속 1명으로 구성돼있으며 신 의원은 앞서 의원 5명이 경쟁한 민주당 경선을 거쳐 후보로 나섰다.

신 신임 의장은 "협치와 소통으로 합리적이고 세련된 의정 활동을 하겠다"며 "시민의 삶에서,fc 낭트시민의 시각으로,fc 낭트시민과 함께하는 시의회가 되도록 최선을 다하겠다"고 밝혔다.

2명을 뽑는 부의장 선거에서는 세 후보 중 과반을 득표한 서용규(민주당·비례) 의원이 제1부의장으로 당선됐다.

남은 두 후보 중 채은지(민주당·비례) 의원이 15표,김용임(국민의힘·비례) 의원이 5표를 획득해 채은지 의원이 제2부의장으로 선출됐다.

후반기 의장단 임기는 오는 11일부터 시작한다.

행정자치위원회·환경복지위원회·산업건설위원회·교육문화위원회 등 4개 상임위원장은 오는 11일,fc 낭트운영위원장은 16일 선출할 예정이다.
