SK하이닉스가 곽노정 최고경영자(CEO)의 의사결정을 지원하기 위한 조직을 신설한다.수장으로는 송현종 SK하이닉스 부사장이 사장으로 승진해 선임됐다.최근 HBM(고대역폭메모리)에 힘입어 높아진 회사 위상에 맞게 CEO 업무를 지원한다는 취지다.

SK하이닉스는 CEO 산하 지원 조직으로‘코퍼레이트센터’(Corporate Center)를 신설한다고 24일 밝혔다.송현종 부사장이 사장 승진과 함께 코퍼레이트센터 담당에 선임됐다.7월 1일부로 업무를 시작한다.

송 신임 사장은 이전까지 SK하이닉스 CEO 직속 담당 임원과 SK그룹의 반도체 사업 관련 지원업무를 겸임해왔다.코퍼레이트 센터는 CEO 직속으로 신설되며 전략·재무·기업문화·구매 부문 등을 총괄해 전사 지원 조직 기능을 통합한다.

송현종 사장은 1965년생으로 서울대와 동 대학원 경제학과·미국 매사추세츠공과대학 경영대학원을 졸업했다.한국은행 출신으로 지난 2003년 SK텔레콤에 합류해 전략기획실장·경영지원단장 등을 역임했다.2012년 SK그룹에 정식 편입된 SK하이닉스로 자리를 옮겨 미래전략본부장과 마케팅부문장 등을 맡았다.

최근 SK그룹이 수시 인사로 실적이 부진한 계열사 대표들을 교체하는 등 조직 슬림화에 나선 가운데 성과가 뛰어난 SK하이닉스에는 오히려 힘을 실어주는 모양새다.SK하이닉스는 “글로벌 인공지능(AI) 반도체의 중요성과 CEO 역할이 갈수록 확대되고 있어 지원 조직 필요성이 커졌기 때문”이라고 인사 배경을 밝혔다.
