신화통신 등 현지 매체들에 따르면 허난성 정저우시에서 16일 새벽 냉동트럭에서 8명이 사망한 채 발견됐다고 현지 수사팀이 밝혔다.

이들 8명은 지난 15일 오후 10시께 해당 차량이 한 주유소에 도착했을 때 의식을 잃은 채 발견됐으며 이후 구조에 나섰지만 이튿날 오전 3시께 사망 판정을 받았다.

이들은 모두 여성으로 자녀가 있었으며 같은 쇠고기 가공·포장 공장에서 일하는 사이였던 것으로 전해졌다.그러다 이날 해당 공장에서 잔업을 한 뒤 셔틀버스가 없어 해당 트럭을 타게 됐다고 매체들은 전했다.

당국은 차량 운전자와 관련 책임자 등을 상대로 규정을 어기고 이들을 트럭 화물칸에 태운 경위 등을 조사 중이다．
