KT가 그룹 브랜드 이미지 제고와 사내 안전·보건 관리를 강화하는 방향의 소폭 조직 개편을 단행했다.

1일 통신업계에 따르면 KT는 이날 브랜드 전략실장과 최고경영자(CEO) 직속 안전·보건 총괄을 신설하는 내용의 조직 개편을 했다.신설된 김영섭 대표 직속 안전·보건 총괄은 임현규 경영지원부문장(부사장)이 겸직한다.

신설된 브랜드 전략실장은 올해 영입된 윤태식 브랜드 커뮤니케이션 담당(상무)이 맡게 됐다.

경영지원부문 소속 브랜드 전략실은 그룹의 브랜드 및 기업 이미지 전략을 수립하는 등 계열사를 포함한 그룹 전체의 이미지 제고를 담당할 것으로 보인다.

AI 담당 조직 AI2XLab 산하 'AI 코어 기술 담당'에 엔씨소프트 AI 테크 센터장이었던 신동훈 상무를 영입했다.

업계 관계자는 "브랜드 전략과 안전·보건 업무 조직이 커진 것으로 보면 된다"며 "AI로 대표되는 기술 혁신 부문도 강화한 것"이라고 말했다.
