유네스코 인류무형문화유산이자 국가무형유산인 강릉단오제가 오늘(6일) 개막했습니다.

현충일 공휴일에 시작하면서 축제장인 강릉 남대천 일대에 첫날부터 많은 방문객이 몰렸습니다.

노지영 기자가 다녀왔습니다.

국내 최대 규모 단오제인 강릉단오제가 개막했습니다.

축제의 시작은 대표 공연인 관노가면극이 맡았습니다.

등장 인물들이 마당을 이리저리 돌아다니며 분위기를 띄웁니다.

체험장에는 방문객들이 길게 늘어섰습니다.

단오를 대표하는 신주와 수리취떡을 맛보기 위해섭니다.

[조송희·신대환/인제군 기린면 현리 : "매번 먹었는데 질리지 않고 맛있게 먹었던 거 같습니다.아이들에게 좋은 추억이 됐으면 좋겠습니다."]

한복을 입거나 창포물에 머리를 감으면 아이 어른 누구나 단오를 느끼고 즐길 수 있습니다.

[김시환/속초시 금호동 : "창포 머리 감기 했는데 시원해서 좋았어요."]

[김명진/서울시 노원구 : "액운을 물리쳐주고 행운이 가득할 것 같아요."]

특히,'천 년'의 전통을 알리기 위해 한복을 입은 방문객에게는 다양한 할인 혜택이 제공됩니다.

올해 강릉단오제에는 용의 기운을 담아 모두를 응원하는 내용으로 64개 프로그램이 마련됐는데,룰렛 주작'추억의 단오'와 '찾아가는 사투리 콘서트' 등은 새롭게 선보이는 볼거리입니다.

또,룰렛 주작내일(7일)과 13일 밤에는 강릉단오제의 절정을 알리는 화려한 불꽃놀이가 열립니다.

올해 단오제는 '솟아라 단오'를 주제로 13일까지 이어집니다.
