[앵커]

정부의 의대 증원에 반대하는 의료계의 집단 휴진이 본격화할 전망입니다.

서울대병원이 내일부터 무기한 휴진에 들어가고 의사협회 차원의 무기한 휴진은 모레부터로 예정됐습니다.

정부는 중증 응급질환 순환당직제를 시행하는 등 대응에 나섰습니다.

[리포트]

서울대병원과 분당서울대병원 등의 교수 529명이 내일부터 무기한 휴진에 참여합니다.

이는 진료에 참여하는 전체 서울대 의대 교수의 55% 수준입니다.

외래 진료를 쉬거나 축소하고,수술이나 검사 일정을 연기하는 방식입니다.

휴진으로 수술장 예상 가동률은 기존 63%에서 34%로 떨어질 것으로 전망됐습니다.

서울의대 비대위는 휴진 기간에도 중증·응급·희귀질환자 진료에는 차질이 없을 것이라고 설명했습니다.

의사협회 차원의 무기한 휴진은 모레부터 예정돼있습니다.

의협은 의대 증원안 재논의,전공의와 의대생 관련 행정명령 소급 취소 등 3대 대정부요구안을 발표하고 오늘 밤 11시까지 답해달라고 요청했습니다.

대정부요구안이 받아들여질 경우 모레 전면 휴진을 보류할지 내일 전 회원 투표를 통해 결정하겠다고 밝혔습니다.

의료계 집단 휴진 움직임에 정부는 의업의 모든 영역에서 무제한 자유가 허용될 수 없다고 반박했습니다.

이와 함께 급성대동맥증후군 등 중증 응급질환에 대응하기 위해,전국 4개 광역별로 매일 1개 이상의 당직 기관을 편성하기로 했습니다.

또 암환자가 제때 치료받을 수 있도록 국립암센터 병상을 최대한 가동하기로 했습니다.
