[서울=뉴시스] 박대로 기자 = 한강 다리에서 투신을 시도한 사람 중 남성 비율이 77%에 달하는 것으로 집계됐다.

서울시의회 김기덕 의원(더불어민주당·마포4)이 28일 '최근 6년 간(2018~2023) 한강교량(다리)별 자살시도 및 투신 현황'을 분석한 결과,로또 1등 당첨금 세후전체 투신자 4069명 가운데 남성이 2487명(61.1%)으로 여성 1079명(26.5%)에 비해 2배 이상 많았다.

2018년은 남성 288명 대 여성 142명,로또 1등 당첨금 세후2019년 325명 대 179명,로또 1등 당첨금 세후2020년 283명 대 172명,로또 1등 당첨금 세후2021년 396명 대 218명,로또 1등 당첨금 세후2022년 397명 대 254명 등으로 남성 투신자가 더 많기는 했지만 그래도 여성의 2배를 넘지는 않았다.

반면 지난해 투신자 1035명 중 남성은 798명(77.1%)으로 여성 114명(11.0%)에 비해 7배 이상 많았다.김 의원은 "남성 자살시도자 수가 급증했다"고 짚었다.

30대와 40대 투신자가 증가한 점 역시 주목된다.

2021년까지는 20대 투신자 비율이 가장 높았다.지난해에는 20대는 5.9%(61회)에 그친 반면 30대가 26.8%(277회),로또 1등 당첨금 세후40대가 18.9%(196회)로 높은 비중을 차지했다.

김 의원은 30~40대 남성 투신자 급증 원인으로 여성 인구 증가와 젠더 갈등을 꼽았다.

그는 "2023년 기준으로 여성이 남성보다 약 5% 많은 상황인 여초사회로 변화되기 시작했다"며 "여성의 사회 참여로 인한 남녀 역할의 변화 등 다양한 요인이 발생하고 있으며 이는 남성 자살 시도 증가의 일부 원인이 될 수 있다"고 분석했다.

김 의원은 "결혼 시장의 불균형 완화와 출산율 제고를 위한 노력을 통해 젊은 남성의 자살 비율을 최소화하기 위한 단계적인 대비책이 필요하다"고 조언했다.
