작년 연간 수주금액 넘어서…VLCC 시장 호황에 전망 '맑음'

(서울=연합뉴스) 김보경 기자 = 한화오션이 액화천연가스(LNG) 운반선과 초대형 원유운반선(VLCC)을 대거 계약하며 2조원이 넘는 수주 '잭폿'을 터트렸다.

한화오션은 중동 선사 2곳과 각각 LNG 운반선 4척,2018년 5월 2일 야구 경기일정VLCC 4척 등 총 8척의 건조계약을 체결했다고 1일 공시했다.

총수주 금액은 2조1천577억원에 달한다.

이번 계약에 따라 한화오션은 올해 현재까지 LNG 운반선 16척,2018년 5월 2일 야구 경기일정VLCC 7척,2018년 5월 2일 야구 경기일정암모니아 연료전지 추진 암모니아 운반선(VLAC) 2척,2018년 5월 2일 야구 경기일정초대형 가스 운반선(VLGC) 1척,2018년 5월 2일 야구 경기일정해양 설비 1기 등 총 53억3천만달러를 수주했다.

이는 지난해 연간 수주 금액 35억2천만달러를 뛰어넘는 금액이다.

한화오션은 최근 VLCC 시장이 회복세를 보여 이 분야 경쟁력을 갖춘 자사의 수혜가 기대된다고 전했다.

VLCC는 2022년 3척,2018년 5월 2일 야구 경기일정2023년 18척이 발주됐으나 올해는 지난 5월 말 기준 37척으로 발주량이 크게 늘었다.

한화오션은 현재 전 세계에서 운항 중인 VLCC 919척 중 가장 많은 185척을 건조했다.

한화오션은 "올해 22척의 LNG 운반선을 건조하는 데 이어 내년에는 창사 이래 최다인 24척이 건조될 예정"이라며 "수익성 강화에 도움이 될 것"이라고 말했다.
