경북 포항시 소유 땅 매각 대금 수십억 원을 빼돌린 혐의로 재판에 넘겨진 전직 공무원이 1심에서 실형을 선고받았습니다.

대구지방법원 포항지원은 업무상 횡령 혐의로 구속기소 된 전직 포항시 6급 공무원 A 씨에게 징역 8년과 추징금 16억3천만 원을 선고했습니다.

재판부는 A 씨가 수십억 대 공금을 횡령하면서 공문서를 위조하고 차명계좌를 사용하는 등 죄질이 좋지 않다고 양형 이유를 설명했습니다.

A 씨는 2021년부터 1년 동안 포항시 소유 땅을 파는 업무를 하면서 매각 대금 19억6천만 원을 빼돌려 쓴 혐의로 재판에 넘겨졌습니다.

포항시는 지난해 감사를 거쳐 A 씨를 파면했습니다.
