2년전 서울 은평구에 맞닿은 고양 덕양구 지역에만 출몰했던 '러브버그'가 올해는 일산동구·서구를 비롯해 인근 지자체인 의정부시까지 확산됐다.

24일 고양시 등에 따르면 이날까지 '러브버그' 관련 방역 요청 등 민원이 700건 넘게 접수됐다.특히 대부분 민원은 덕양구에 집중됐다.일산동구·서구도 수십 건의 전화 민원이 들어왔다.

앞서 지난 2020년 6월 고양시에 '러브버그'가 떼로 나타나 시민들이 큰 불편을 겪었다.

시는 러브버그가 많이 발생되는 지역을 중심으로 하루 2~3회 소독을 실시하는 등 장비와 인력을 총동원해 방역작업을 벌였다.올해도 일정을 나눠 지역별 방역 작업을 진행 중이다.

고양시 인근 지자체인 의정부시도 '러브버그' 관련 민원이 100건 넘게 들어왔다.

의정부시는 별도의 방역 대책을 마련한다는 방침이다.
