예상 발주 물량이 연 매출의 15%에 달하는 만큼 포장지를 수정하자는 의견도 있었지만 올바름 김정광 대표는 전남매일과의 인터뷰에서 "당장 눈앞의 개인적 이득을 위해 국가의 자부심을 버려서는 안 된다는 생각이 컸다"며 이를 거절했다고 밝혔습니다.

김 대표는 어릴 때부터 독도가 우리 땅이라는 사실을 자연스럽게 받아들이길 바라는 마음에서 포장지에 독도 사진을 넣었다고 밝혔습니다.

이런 사연이 최근 다시 방송을 통해 알려지면서 쌀과자 주문이 폭주하는 것으로 전해졌습니다.

올바름은 현재 홈페이지를 통해 "저희 제품을 '독도 쌀과자'라고 불러주신 점 깊이 감사드린다"며 "예상치 못한 주문 폭주로 인해 모든 팀원들이 최선을 다해 작업하고 있다.다만 이번주에는 공휴일과 택배 휴무일이 겹쳐 배송에 다소 지연이 될 수 있음을 양해 부탁드린다"고 밝혔습니다.
