중국 후난선 웨양시의 둥팅후가 폭우에 제방이 무너졌다.중국에서 두 번째로 큰 담수호인 둥팅후(洞庭湖·동정호)가 폭우로 제방이 무너져 인근 주민 5700여명이 긴급 대피했다고 6일(현지시간) 관영 신화통신 등이 보도했다.

이날 현지 보도에 따르면,월드컵 중계 다시보기예년보다 많은 비에 전날 오후 5시 48분께 중국 후난성 웨양시 화룽현 둥팅후 제방 일부가 붕괴됐다.이번에 무너진 제방 길이는 약 220m에 달한 것으로 알려졌다.

사회관계망서비스(SNS)에는 둥팅후의 제방이 무너지면서 인근 농경지와 주택이 전부 물에 잠긴 영상들이 올라왔다.이 때문에 약 50만명이 사는 화룽현을 오가는 모든 도로도 통제됐다.

이번 사고와 관련해 시진핑 중국 국가주석은 중앙아시아 타지키스탄을 국빈 방문 중 피해 지역 주민의 생명과 재산 보호에 만전을 기할 것을 긴급 지시했다.

시 주석은 “장마에 접어든 뒤 일부 지역의 경우 강우량이 많고 기간이 길다”며 “관련 부처와 해당 지역 당위원회 등은 신속하게 구호 및 구조 작업을 수행해야 한다”고 주문했다.

중국중앙TV(CCTV)에 따르면,월드컵 중계 다시보기다행히 이번 사고로 인한 인명 피해는 없는 것으로 전해졌다.또 관련 당국은 구조대원 2100여명과 배 160척을 동원해 응급 복구 공사에 착수했다.

폭염이 지속되고 있는 중국 북부 지역과 달리 중남부 지역 주민들은 잇따른 폭우와 홍수 등에 신음하고 있다.

후난성에서는 지난달 16일부터 올해 최대 규모 폭우가 내렸다.일부 지역의 경우 강수량이 역대 최고치를 기록했다.특히 양쯔강의 수위가 올라 이번 주에만 25만명가량의 주민들이 임시거주시설로 대피했다.

산둥성 허쩌시에서는 지난 5일 토네이도로 많은 인명 피해가 발생했다.초속 34m의 강풍과 시간당 80㎜ 단기 집중 호우 등으로 80명가량이 중경상을 입었고 건물도 2800여채가 무너졌다.

지난 4일에도 산둥성 린이시를 토네이도가 휩쓸고 가면서 나무와 건물 등이 쓰러졌다.
