연내 행정안전부 적합성 평가 거쳐 모바일 신분증 서비스 제공

카카오는 카카오뱅크와 함께 모바일 신분증 민간개방 참여기업으로 선정됐다고 6일 밝혔다.

카카오·카카오뱅크는 양사가 보유한 모바일 서비스 운영 경험과 최고 수준의 보안 기술을 활용해 안정적인 모바일 신분증 서비스를 제공하기 위해 참여했다.향후 이용자들은 카카오·카카오뱅크 앱을 통해 행정안전부가 제공하는 모바일 신분증을 발급받고 사용할 수 있게 된다.

양사는 분야별 전문가 8인으로 구성된 선정위원회로부터 이용 편의성,로또 창업안전성,로또 창업활성화 계획 등을 기준으로 최종 선정됐다.양사는 이달부터 시스템 개발을 시작해 연내 행정안전부의 적합성 평가를 거쳐 모바일 신분증 서비스를 제공할 방침이다.

카카오는 카카오톡 '더보기' 탭에,로또 창업카카오뱅크는 카카오뱅크 앱 내에 모바일 신분증 메뉴를 추가해 이용자들이 빠르고 간편하게 발급·조회할 수 있도록 구현할 예정이다.현재 모바일 신분증은 운전면허증,로또 창업국가보훈등록증으로 제공되고 있다.향후 주민등록증도 추가될 예정이다.

카카오 관계자는 "카카오와 카카오뱅크 앱 만으로 간편하고 안전하게 모바일 신분증을 발급하고 조회할 수 있도록 구현하는 만큼,로또 창업많은 이용자들이 서비스를 이용하길 바란다"고 말했다.
