차기 비대위원장,2018 러시아 월드컵 우승채희복 소화기내과 교수 추대충북대학교 의과대학 교수진이 무기한 전면 휴진을 결의하며 휴진 대열에 동참했다.

13일 충북대학교병원·의과대학 비상대책위원회(비대위)에 따르면 전날 오후 5시 의대 본관에서 임시총회가 열렸다.

1시간40분 가량 진행된 총회에서 비대위는 대한의사협회(의협)가 예고한 18일 전면 휴진 동참을 확정했다.

또 17일부터 무기한 휴진에 돌입하는 서울대의대·서울대병원 비대위 측 결정에 지지를 보내며 동참 의사를 밝혔다.

비대위 측 관계자는 아이뉴스24와의 통화에서 “환자들에게 알리고,2018 러시아 월드컵 우승병원 측에도 준비할 시간이 필요해 정확한 시점은 정하지 못했지만,2018 러시아 월드컵 우승이른 시일 내 무기한 휴진 시점을 정한 뒤 날짜를 공포할 것”이라고 말했다.

교수 90여명이 참석한 이번 총회에서는 참석자 대부분이 휴진으로 정부에 항의하는 데 동의한 것으로 알려졌다.

비대위의 휴진 결정으로 충북대병원의 외래 진료와 비응급 수술·시술은 당분간 중단될 예정이다.

단,2018 러시아 월드컵 우승권역응급의료센터와 외상센터,2018 러시아 월드컵 우승뇌혈관 질환 센터 등 응급·중증 환자에 대한 진료는 유지한다.

비대위 관계자는 “정부의 의대 정원 2000명 증원은 우리나라 의료에 미치는 악영향이 너무나 막대하다”며 “휴진으로 불편을 겪을 환자들께 죄송스럽게 생각한다”고 말했다.

한편 이번 총회 안건에는 신임 비대위원장 선출 건도 올라왔다.

비대위는 차기 비대위원장으로 채희복 소화기내과 교수를 추대했다.

전임 비대위원장 배장환 심장내과 교수는 비대위원으로 활동하기로 했다.
