현대트랜시스,프로야구 잔여경기 수사우디‘시어’에 3조원 규모‘전기차 구동 시스템’공급 [사진제공=현대트랜시스]현대트랜시스는 12일 사우디아라비아 전기차 제조사 시어(CEER)와 독자 개발한‘일체형 전기차 구동시스템(EDS)’을 2027년부터 10년간 공급하는 3조원 규모 계약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

시어는 사우디아라비아 국부펀드(PIF)가 설립한 전기차 제조사다.현대트랜시스가 공급할 일체형 전기차 구동 시스템은 시어의 차세대 스포츠유틸리티차량(SUV),프로야구 잔여경기 수세단,쿠페 등을 포함한 전 차종에 탑재 예정이다.

이번 계약은 현대트랜시스가 전기차 구동 시스템을 글로벌 완성차 기업에 공급하는 첫 사례다.현대트랜시스가 시어에 공급하는 일체형 전기차 구동시스템은 ▲전기차 구동 모터 ▲전력을 변환해 모터의 토크를 제어하는 인버터 ▲동력을 차량에 필요한 토크와 속도로 변환해 전달하는 감속기를 일체형으로 구성한‘3-in-1’제품이다.

일반적인 전기차 구동시스템은 모터,인버터,감속기를 별도로 장착해 연결 케이블간 전력손실,차체 공간 구성의 한계가 있었지만 현대트랜시스의 일체형 전기차 구동시스템은 크기와 무게를 줄이고 전력 효율성이 뛰어나 전기차의 설계 용이성,프로야구 잔여경기 수원가 경쟁력 등을 높일 수 있다는 게 회사 설명이다.
