번스타인은 이 소식통에 대해 "바이든 대통령과 매우 가깝고 그를 사랑하는 사람들"이라며 "바이든을 위해 거액을 모금할 사람도 있다"고 소개했다.그러면서 "소식통들은 바이든이 TV 토론 때 보여준 것과 같은 모습이 일회성이 아니라고 단언했다"고 강조했다.
