야당은 경찰의 임성근 전 사단장 무혐의 결정은 꼬리 자르기식 봐주기 수사라며 특검이 불가피하다고 주장했습니다.

"대통령부터 경찰까지 나서서 임성근 구하기에 몰두하고 있는 것으로 보여요."

"경북청 수사팀의 판단을 존중합니다.제가 책임질 일이 있으면 책임지겠지요."

임 전 사단장 불송치 결정을 내렸던 수사심의위 명단을 공개하라고 압박했는데,윤 청장은 공정성이 훼손된다며 거부했습니다.

임성근 변호청' 더 나아가 경찰을 '개'에 빗댄 표현이 나오고 있다는 지적엔 명예를 훼손하는 발언이라고 반박했습니다.

"민주당의 막말이 도를 넘고 있습니다.정권의 충견이 됐다"

"14만 제복 입은 경찰관들의 명예를 훼손하는 부분에 있어서는 상당히 유감스러운 표현이라고 생각을 합니다."

국민의힘은 야당이 경찰 수사 결과를 정쟁에 이용하고 있다고 지적했습니다.

"정치적 이해관계에 따라 경찰 수사 결과마저도 정략적으로 왜곡,악용하고 있어 매우 안타깝고 부끄러운 마음이 듭니다."

그러면서 경찰에 대한 근거 없는 모욕을 중단하라고 요구했습니다.
