무인도에 고립됐던 10대 중학생이 인천해양경찰에 구조되는 순간.[인천해양경찰서]

[헤럴드경제=김유진 기자] 인천 선재도 인근 무인도에 고립됐던 10대 중학생이 밀물 한가운데서 해양경찰에 구조됐다.

인천해양경찰서에 따르면 지난 6일 오후 3시 26분쯤 옹진군 선재도 인근 목섬에 중학생 A 군이 고립됐다는 신고가 해경에 접수됐다.

해경은 인근 영흥파출소 경찰관들을 투입한 뒤 동력구조 보드를 이용해 40여 분 만에 그를 구조했다

조사 결과 A 군은 가족과 함께 관광하던 중 썰물 때 혼자 목섬에 들어갔다가 갑자기 불어난 바닷물에 고립됐다.당시 파도는 1.5∼2m로 A군의 키를 넘나들 정도였다.

A군이 고립된 목섬은 하루 두 차례 썰물 때 바닷물이 빠지면서 인근 선재도부터 500m 길이의 모랫길이 열리는 무인도다.

해경 관계자는 “목섬에 들어갈 때는 반드시 물때를 미리 확인해야 한다”고 당부했다.
