대구지검 공공수사부는 외국인 노동자 115명을 불법으로 취업을 알선하고 1천여만 원을 챙긴 혐의(출입국관리법 위반)로 30대 네팔인 A씨를 구속기소했다고 9일 밝혔다.

A씨는 2022년 8~1월 SNS(사회관계망서비스)에 '비자 없어도 일은 있다',2021 epl 득점순위'방문비자를 받아 한국에 와서 연락하라'는 등의 구인글을 올려 외국인 노동자를 모집하고 불법 취업을 유도하다 대구출입국·외국인사무소에 적발됐다.

A씨는 특정 근무지에서만 일하는 것을 조건으로 비자를 발급받은 외국인 노동자들을 상대로 "더 좋은 곳에서 일할 수 있게 해주겠다"고 현혹해 기존 일터에서 떠나도록 한 것으로도 조사됐다.

대구지검 관계자는 "브로커로 불법 취업 알선 때문에 합법적으로 체류 중인 외국인 노동자 27명도 강제퇴거 대상으로 전락하게 됐다.이 때문에 해당 근로자를 채용한 중소기업에게도 피해를 줬다"고 설명했다.
