4분기 도입…삼성페이 적용 주목애플이 아이폰에서 애플페이 외 다른 간편결제를 허용하기로 했다.애플은 14일(현지시간) 오는 4분기 선보일 예정인 새 운영체제(OS) iOS 18.1부터 타사 앱의 근무선통신(NFC) 비접촉식 결제를 허용한다고 발표했다.이렇게 되면 외부 개발자들은 아이폰에서 간편결제뿐 아니라 자동차 키,제도 무료 베팅 프로모션학생증,제도 무료 베팅 프로모션포인트 카드 등 NFC 관련 앱을 운영할 수 있다.애플은 그동안 보안을 이유로 애플페이와 월렛 외 타사 서비스는 차단해왔다.

다만 애플이 자사 승인과 수수료를 조건으로 내걸었다는 점은 변수다.애플은 “특정 산업과 규제 요건을 충족하고 애플의 보안 및 개인정보 보호 표준을 준수하는 승인된 개발자만 관련 API(앱 프로그래밍 인터페이스)에 접속할 수 있다”고 밝혔다.삼성,제도 무료 베팅 프로모션구글 등 NFC 결제 서비스를 운영하는 업체들이 참여하려면 애플의 승인을 받아야 하고 수수료도 내야 한다는 뜻이다.

애플의 NFC 결제 서비스 독점이 반독점법 위반이라고 압박 수위를 높여온 유럽연합(EU)과의 신경전은 계속되는 양상이다.애플은 이번 허용 대상 국가를 미국 영국 일본 호주 캐나다 브라질 등으로 한정했다.한국과 EU 회원국은 포함되지 않았다.
