김 전 회장은 지난 2018년부터 2022년까지 이화영 전 경기도 평화부지사에게 쌍방울 그룹 법인카드와 법인차량을 제공하는 등의 방법으로 3억 3천여만 원의 정치자금과 뇌물을 공여한 혐의를 받습니다.

또 2019년 경기도의 북한 스마트팜 지원 사업비 500만 달러와 당시 경기도지사인 이재명 민주당 전 대표의 방북 비용 300만 달러를 북한 측에 대납한 혐의도 있습니다.
