'유료 또는 동의' 모델은 사용자가 서비스 이용료를 내지 않으려면 광고 목적 데이터 수집에 동의해야 한다는 메타의 자체 규정으로 사용자에게 불리한 내용을 담고 있다고 EU는 판단한 겁니다.

지난 3월 EU가 도입한 DMA는 거대 플랫폼 사업자의 시장 지배력 남용을 막기 위한 법으로 위반할 경우 전 세계 매출의 최대 10%에 해당하는 과징금이 부과될 수 있습니다.

애플에 이어 빅테크 기업 제재에 나선 EU는 메타에 대한 통보와 해명·반론 청취 과정 등을 거쳐 제재 수위를 최종 결정할 예정입니다.
