곰탕에 호주산 소고기 국내산으로

[헤럴드경제=배문숙 기자]국립농산물품질관리원(원장 박성우)은 지난달 8일부터 이달 9일까지 축산물 수입·유통업체,관광지 축산물판매장,음식점 등을 점검한 결과 원산지 표시 위반 업체 254곳을 적발했다고 13일 밝혔다.

이들 업체에서 판매한 원산지 표시 위반 품목은 모두 265건이었다.돼지고기가 116건(43.8%)으로 가장 많았고 닭고기 52건(19.6%),휴대폰 로또 구매소고기 47건(17.7%),오리고기 46건(17.4%),염소 고기 4건(1.5%) 순이었다.

사례를 보면 제주의 한 음식점은 미국산,휴대폰 로또 구매스페인산 돼지고기 삼겹살을 판매하면서 원산지를 제주산으로 거짓 표기했다.강원의 한 음식점에서는 곰탕에 호주산 소고기를 넣었으면서 원산지를 국내산으로 속여 팔았다.

농관원은 원산지를 속여 판 업체 144곳의 업주를 형사 입건했고 원산지를 아예 표시하지 않은 업체 110곳에는 과태료 3천900만원 처분을 내렸다.

박성우 농관원장은 "수입이 증가하고 소비가 확대되는 축산물의 원산지를 지속 점검할 계획"이라며 "다음 달에는 추석 성수품에 대한 원산지 표시 점검도 실시하겠다"고 말했다.
