이동관 전 방송통신위원장이 배우자 인사청탁 의혹을 보도한 YTN을 상대로 낸 손해배상 소송이 기각됐습니다.

서울중앙지방법원은 오늘(28일) 이 전 위원장이 YTN과 소속 기자 등을 상대로 '5억여 원을 배상하라'며 낸 소송에서 원고 패소로 판결했습니다.

앞서 YTN은 이 전 위원장 부인이 지난 2010년,온라인바둑이특정인 이력서와 함께 2천만 원이 든 쇼핑백이 건네받았다는 의혹을 처음 보도했습니다.

불거진 의혹에 대해 이 전 위원장 측은 현금을 담아온 것을 확인해 즉시 돌려주고,온라인바둑이민정수석실을 통해 이 사실을 신고했다고 해명했습니다.

다만 청탁 당사자는 돈을 한참 뒤에 돌려받았다고 진술해 해명 뒤에도 논란이 일었습니다.

이후 이 전 위원장은 지난해 8월,온라인바둑이YTN 임직원을 형사 고소하고,온라인바둑이5억 원의 손해배상 소송도 제기했습니다.
