더불어민주당 이재명 대표를 피습한 후 흉기로 찌른 혐의 등으로 기소된 김모(67) 씨에게 징역 15년이 선고됐다.앞서 검찰은 김 씨에게 징역 20년을 구형했다.
부산지법 형사6부(부장판사 김용균)는 5일 열린 김 씨에 대한 선고공판에서 이같이 선고했다.
김 씨는 지난 1월 2일 부산 강서구 가덕도 전망대를 방문한 이 대표에게 지지자인 것처럼 접근해 흉기로 목 부위를 찔러 살해하려 하고,네투선거의 자유를 방해한 혐의(살인미수·공직선거법 위반)로 재판에 넘겨졌다.그는 지난해 4월 흉기를 구입해 개조했고,네투6차례 동안 이 대표를 따라다니며 범행을 치밀하게 계획한 정황이 드러났다.
김 씨 공격으로 내경정맥이 9㎜ 손상되는 상처를 입은 이 대표는 수술과 입원 치료를 받고 8일 만에 퇴원했다.
