[세종=뉴시스]송승화 기자 = 세종시 조치원읍 대학가 주변에 있는 한 저수지에서 영아 시신이 발견돼 경찰이 수사에 나섰다.

16일 세종시소방본부에 따르면 15일 오후 6시 31분께 "신안저수지(조치원읍 신안리 404) 물 위에 아기 시신 1구가 떠 있는 것 같다"란 시민의 신고가 들어왔다.

신고를 받고 현장에 출동한 소방대원들은 저수지에서 발견한 영아 시신을 인양하고 경찰에 넘겼다.

경찰은 아기가 타살 됐을 가능성이 있다고 보고 수사 중이며 국립과학수사연구원에 시신 부검을 의뢰하는 한편 자세한 경위를 조사할 방침이다.

해당 저수지는 직선 거리 기준으로 고려대 세종캠퍼스에서 북서쪽으로 200여m,d\야구홍익대 세종캠퍼스에서는 남서쪽으로 600여m쯤 떨어진 곳에 자리 잡고 있다.

주변에는 세종시가 지난 2016년 목재 데크 등으로 길이 400m의 산책로를 만들고 운동시설 등도 설치했다．
