과기부‘미래 3대 기술’비교평가
AI 4~6위,바이오 7~11위 들어한국이 양자기술 분야에서 세계 주요 12개국과 비교해 최하위 수준인 것으로 평가됐다.인공지능(AI)과 첨단바이오도 중위권 수준에 머물렀다.

과학기술정보통신부는 26일 국가과학기술자문회의 산하 글로벌 연구개발(R&D) 특별위원회 회의를 열고‘첨단바이오·AI·양자 글로벌 R&D 전략지도’안건을 심의했다고 밝혔다.

글로벌 R&D 전략지도는 논문과 특허,중고야구용품전문가 정성평가를 바탕으로 미국과 중국,영국,독일,일본 등 주요 12개국의 기술 수준을 매겨 평가했다.이에 따르면 한국은 양자 컴퓨터,양자 통신,양자 센서 카테고리에서 모두 12위를 기록했다.양자 컴퓨터 부문은 기술 수준이 가장 높은 미국이 100점을 받았지만 한국은 2.3점에 불과했다.양자 통신 부문에서도 미국이 84.8점,중고야구용품중국은 82.5점을 받았으나 한국은 2.9점에 머물렀고,양자 센서도 한국은 2.9점을 기록했다.

AI 분야의 경우 한국은 효율적 학습 및 AI 인프라 고도화 4위,첨단 AI 모델링·의사결정 5위,안전·신뢰 AI 5위,산업활용·혁신 AI 6위 수준으로 파악됐다.첨단바이오 분야는 합성생물학 7위,유전자·세포 치료 9위,감염병 백신·치료 11위,디지털 헬스데이터 분석·활용 7위 수준으로 나타났다.

이날 특위는 글로벌 R&D 사업의 구체적 협력 방안과 국제규범 협력 내용 등을 담은‘과학기술 글로벌 협력 종합전략’도 심의했다.전략에 따르면 정부는 대통령 해외 순방과 정상회담 등 외교 활동을 계기로 우방국과 과학기술 협력을 확대하기로 했다.국가 차원의‘플래그십 프로젝트’를 선정해 지원하고,해외 기관과의 협력을 위한‘톱 티어 협력 플랫폼’도 구축한다.
