장기미제 사건 중 하나인 '경기도 시흥 슈퍼마켓 살인사건' 용의자가 16년 만에 체포됐다.

15일 경찰에 따르면 경기 시흥경찰서는 전날 오후 8시께 살인 등 혐의를 받는 40대 A씨를 경남 소재 주거지에서 체포해 압송 중이라고 밝혔다.다만 구체적인 체포 경위 등에 대해선 아직 조사가 진행되지 않았다는 이유로 밝히지 않았다.

A씨는 2008년 12월 9일 오전 4시께 시흥시 정왕동의 한 슈퍼마켓에 침입해 점주를 흉기로 살해한 뒤 금품을 빼앗아 달아난 혐의를 받는다.

당시 A씨의 범행 장면은 매장 내폐쇄회로(CC)TV를 통해 촬영됐으나,부자카지노 검증경찰이 용의자 신원 파악에 어려움을 겪으면서 장기 미제사건으로 남았다.
