SK E&S로부터 태양광 발전소 생산 에너지 20년 공급 받아SK텔레콤이 '넷제로(Net Zero·탄소중립)'를 달성하기 위해 대규모 재생에너지 구매 계약을 체결했다.같은 SK 계열사 SK E&S로부터 태양광 발전소를 통해 생산한 재생에너지를 20년간 공급받을 예정이다.

28일 금융감독원 전자공시에 따르면 SK텔레콤은 같은 SK그룹 관계사인 SK E&S와 재생에너지 전력구매 장기 계약을 체결한다.SK텔레콤은 SKE&S이 태양광 발전소를 통해 생산한 재생에너지 전력을 2026년 6월 29일부터 20년간 공급받는다.거래 금액은 총 2152억원으로,연간으로는 107억원 규모다

이번 계약은 작년 11월 SK그룹 9개 관계사(SK텔레콤,SK실트론,미니 슬롯머신SKC,미니 슬롯머신SK머티리얼즈,미니 슬롯머신SK가스 등)가 SK E&S와 맺은 거래협정서의 일환으로 알려졌다.SK는 그룹 차원에서 글로벌 탄소중립 목표 시점인 2050년보다 앞서 '넷제로'를 달성한다는 목표를 설정하고 탄소감축을 위한 투자와 재생에너지 확대에 나서왔다.

SK텔레콤 관계자는 "이번 거래는 SKT Net Zero 및 재생 에너지100%(RE100) 이행을 위해 재생에너지를 공동구매 하는 건으로,경쟁입찰 과정을 통해 최종 선정된 결과에 따라 각 사에서 개별 계약을 추진한다"고 말했다.
