[서울=뉴시스] 홍찬선 기자 = 최근 6년간 원산지표시 위반 적발건수가 1200건을 넘은 것으로 조사됐다.

14일 박성훈 국민의힘 의원이 관세청으로부터 제출받은 최근 6년간 원산지 표시 위반 적발된 건수는 1250건으로 적발금액은 1조2770억원 상당이다.

이기간 가장 많이 적발된 것은 ▲원산지미표시 489건으로 적발금액은 2685억원이다.이어 ▲원산지부적정 271건(2695억원) ▲손상변경 201건(1692억원) ▲원산지허위표시 148건(1777억원) ▲원산지오인표시 141건(3921억원) 등이다.

년도별로는 ▲2019년 206건(2460억원)이 적발됐으며 ▲2020년 237건(1836억원) ▲2021년 223건(1498억원) ▲2022년 233건(2205억원) ▲2023년 246건(4168억원) ▲올 6월까지 105건(603억원)으로 원산지표시 위반 건수가 해마다 늘고 있는 실정이다.

특히 원산지표시위반 시중유통 단속현황을 살펴보면 공산품이 1147건(1조2666억원)으로 농수산물 103건(104억원)보다 91% 많은 것으로 나타났다.

이에 따라 관체청은 이기간 835건(1555억8500만원)에 대해 시정명령을 내리고 195건 27억8900만원에 대해 과징금을 부과했다.

박성훈 국민의힘 의원은 "소비자를 기만하는 수입품 원산지 표시 위반 행위는 국민의 안전을 위협할 뿐만 아니라 국내 기업의 매출 감소와도 직결되는 중대 범죄"라고 강조하고 "엄정 처벌 원칙을 세워 발본색원해야 한다"고 밝혔다．
