알레르기성 천식,2004년 프로야구 순위만성 특발성 두드리거 치료제 졸레어 바이오시밀러 옴리클로가 영국에서 품목허가를 받았다./사진=뉴스1 셀트리온의 옴리클로(개발명: CT-P39)가 영국 의약품건강관리제품규제청(MHRA)으로부터 품목허가 승인을 받았다.옴리클로는 알레르기성 천식,만성 특발성 두드러기 치료제 졸레어(성분명: 오말리주맙)의 바이오시밀러다.

셀트리온은 글로벌 임상 3상 결과를 바탕으로 옴리클로 품목허가를 신청,알레르기성 천식 및 비용종을 동반한 만성비부비동염,2004년 프로야구 순위만성 특발성 두드러기 적응증에 대한 허가를 획득했다고 9일 밝혔다.

셀트리온은 유럽 6개국에서 만성 특발성 두드러기 환자 619명을 대상으로 진행한 CT-P39의 글로벌 임상 3상에서 오리지널 의약품 대비 유효성과 동등성을 입증하고 안전성에서도 유사성을 확인했다.

이를 토대로 국내는 물론 미국과 캐나다,유럽에서도 허가 신청을 완료해 가장 먼저 지난 5월 유럽,6월 국내에서 첫 번째 졸레어 바이오시밀러로 허가를 받은 바 있다.

옴리클로의 오리지널 의약품 졸레어는 알레르기성 천식,만성 특발성 두드러기 등에 사용되는 항체 바이오의약품이다.지난해 기준 글로벌 매출 약 5조원을 기록했다.이중 영국 시장규모는 약 6700만달러(약 7815억원)다.

셀트리온은 기존에 출시한 자가면역질환 치료제,항암제에 이어 알레르기 질환 치료제 시장으로 포트폴리오를 확대해 글로벌 주요 시장에서 경쟁력을 확보할 계획이다.

셀트리온 관계자는 "옴리클로는 졸레어 바이오시밀러 중 영국에서 최초로 허가받은 제품"이라며 "선점 효과를 바탕으로 빠르게 시장을 공략해 나갈 계획"이라고 말했다.
