방심위 통신심의소위원회(통신소위)는 4일 회의에서 비공개로 논의한 끝에 시정 요구(게시물 삭제)를 결정했다.앞서 온라인 커뮤니티에 가해자로 지목된 A씨는 이름과 얼굴,회사에서 토토나이,회사에서 토토직장 등 신상정보가 구체적으로 담긴 게시글이 초상권 침해 및 명예훼손을 침해했다며 방심위에 신고했다.

이에 방심위 통신소위는 해당 게시글 작성자의 의견진술을 들었다.해당 작성자는 자신이 명예훼손을 하지 않았다고 강변하는 내용으로 서면 진술서를 제출한 것으로 알려졌다.이후 방심위의 시정 요구 결정은 즉시 정보통신 서비스 제공자 등에게 통보됐다.

방심위 관계자는 “시정명령이 아닌 시정 요구라 강제성은 없지만 통상 대부분의 사업자는 이행한다”고 했다.
