산업통상자원부는 오늘(25일) 강경성 1차관이 소방청,로쏘네리전기안전공사,로쏘네리가스안전공사 등 기관 관계자들과 함께 충남 당진 소재 비츠로셀의 리튬 일차전지 제조 시설을 찾아 안전 관리 현황을 점검했다고 밝혔습니다.

비츠로셀은 국내 리튬 일차전지 시장 점유율 1위 업체입니다.

이번 현장 점검은 전날 경기 화성 일차전지 업체 화재 사고와 같은 유형의 사고 발생을 막기 위해 이뤄졌다고 산업부가 전했습니다.

강 차관은 이 자리에서 "리튬 전지는 화학적 특성상 한번 화재가 발생하면 진화가 쉽지 않은 만큼 사전적인 안전 관리가 그 무엇보다 중요하다"고 말했습니다.

산업부는 유사 사업장을 대상으로 한 현장 안전점검 및 상시 모니터링을 위해 산업부 1차관을 단장으로 하고 국가기술표준원,소방청,로쏘네리배터리산업협회,전기안전공사 등 유관 기관이 참여하는 '배터리산업 현장 안전점검 태스크포스(TF)'를 구성해 운영할 계획입니다.

산업부는 태스크포스 운영을 통해 리튬 배터리 산업 현장의 안전관리 실태를 집중적으로 점검하기로 했습니다.

또 리튬 일차전지 제조 시설뿐 아니라 리튬 이차전지 제조 시설,로쏘네리리튬 배터리 에너지저장장치(ESS) 제조 시설,로쏘네리사용 후 배터리 보관 시설도 점검하기로 했습니다.
