(서울=뉴스1) 양새롬 기자 = 방송통신심의위원회는 12일 서울 목동 방송회관에서 전체회의를 열고 2024년 하반기 재·보궐선거 선거방송심의위원회 위원 구성을 의결했다.

선거방송심의위는 공직선거법에 따라 구성·운영되는 합의제 기구로 △국회에 교섭단체를 구성한 정당(2개) △중앙선거관리위원회 △방송사 △방송학계 △대한변호사협회 △언론인단체 및 △시민단체 등이 추천한 9인의 위원으로 구성된다.

위원 명단에는 김대회 전 KBS 창원방송총국장,김문환 한국방송기자클럽 편집인,김선영 전 국민대 교양대학 조교수,김활빈 강원대 미디어커뮤니케이션학과 조교수,바리 선풍기박시형 법무법인 선경 대표변호사,백선기 성균관대 미디어커뮤니케이션학과 명예교수,송요훈 전 아리랑국제방송 방송본부장,임정열 전 강원도선거관리위원회 사무처장,한정석 전 KBS플러스 제작본부장 등이 포함됐다.

임기는 하반기 재·보궐선거일(10월16일) 전 60일인 이달 17일부터 선거일 후 30일인인 11월 15일까지다.

선방위는 17일 이후 위촉식과 첫 회의를 열고 호선을 통해 위원장과 부위원장을 선출할 예정이다.

선방위 심의대상은 선방위가 설치된 때(17일)부터 선거일의 투표마감시각까지의 선거방송이다.
