이복현 금융감독원장이 상법상 이사의 '충실의무 대상'을 주주까지 확대하는 것은 선진국에선 너무 당연한 것이라며 거듭 개정 필요성을 강조했습니다.

이 원장은 오늘 열린 상법 개정 이슈 브리핑에서 다음 달까지는 내부 논의 과정을 거쳐 하반기 정부 입장을 정하겠다며 이같이 말했습니다.

이 원장은 다만 상법 개정으로 경영진 대상 소송이 남발될 수 있는 만큼 경영진 면책 요건을 추가해야 한다고 밝혔습니다.

이 원장은 상법 개정과 함께 배임죄 문제도 해결해야 한다며 개인적 입장은 배임죄 폐지가 바람직하지만 폐지가 어렵다면 사적 이익 추구 등을 명시해 정말 나쁜 짓을 할 때만 적용해야 한다고 말했습니다.

최근 정부는 기업 이사의 '충실의무 대상'을 회사에서 주주까지 확대하는 상법 개정을 적극 검토하고 있지만,프랑스 월드컵 대표팀재계에선 반발이 거센 상황이다.
